They were purchased by Amazon.com, and now have the very same page structure and...(this is the part that makes me boil) has reverted to using REAL AUDIO for the preview. Ugh...what a useless piece of SHEEEEEEEEEEIT program. Absolutely the worst sounding player, beating even the MS Media Player for that tinny, crackly, lifeless sound.
They also now have "user reviews" for all the music. So instead of the mostly coherent and helpful reviews from actual critics, we now get "I luvd this music! I play it in my car for weeks! The singer is the cutest!!" type crap.
Too much consolidation...even for the net.
Anyone else have feelings about this?
Also, anyone else know of any alternate CD stores that are quick, competent and has a great selection? I already use insound.com,
but it's still a bit limited in its catalog. Anyone?
Maybe i should just shut up and just go to my fave neighborhood record store with the nice helpful ladies with pierced spines, and an undying love for Satan.
