View Full Version : HL2 missing textures w TAA supersampling (7800)

there are missing textures (shadows?) all over the place in Half -life 2 (single player: the train yard where i just receive the crossbar) due to the supersampling selection for transparency AA (i use 1280x960 4xAA 16xAF)
Multisampling seems to work.

I heard that it would be fixed in next drivers but it's still not fixed in 80.40

any news ?

When they say next drivers in release notes they mean the next on nvidia.com. Besides which the 80's were released just after the 77's so the fault probably hadnt been found by the time they were sent to devs for testing. Hopfuly in the next beta's it may improve it shouldnt take long though.

This does seem a slow week for drivers though. :lol:

so they are aware of it ... i searched the release notes but couldn't find trace of it.
Hope they will not take too long, i am also waiting for H.264 ....and ....first big booosts for the new card

It's a known and documented bug by Nvidia.
