View Full Version : Look what I've found!
I was doing some garbage collecting and reviewing the useless stuff that somehow grows inside my lockets when I found this:

I didn't remeber to have purchased one. Damn I'm glad I found this, cause I was about to buy a copule of 7800GTX SLI. But with such a monster 3D card, who needs them anymore :D ?

I need to go take a picture of my Matrox 3D card. The sucker even has a daughter card you put in another PCI slot .. lol. :D
And now, for some more Virge goodness!
The mighty Virge GX2

32bit rendering
100 MHz core 4 MB SGRAM (10ns)
AGP bus (:D)
Duoview (TM) integrated 2nd ramdac
Integrated three-tap flicker-free PAL/NTSC encoder (that was real good, I swear!)
This was the card I purchased when I built my K6-2 300MHz rig. At the time I already had 1 Voodoo2 12MB so the main AGP card was only used in 2D. The VirgeGX2 caught my attention for the TV output (a novelty at the time) which I needed to play emulated games on a television.
Like all the Virge cards, it lacked of a real triangle setup unit, thus the setup was entirely done on the CPU (which was the main reason why Virge sucked). But I was able to play d3d games like Blood 2 and Shogo on it at a decent framerate and 32bit color :p
