I'm trying to install a Geforce 6800GT in my new system. I took it out of my old one and put a Geforce 5200 in my old one just fine. The problem is the new one. I uninstalled the old drivers and shut it down. Now the Geforce 6800 GT or the card that was originally in it won't work. When I power up everything works fine until it starts to constantly beep. Nothing comes up on screen. Help please!

If its constantly beeping its probably cuz u didnt connect the molex power connecter from your power supply to the 6800GT.

No, I connected it. I also put the original video card back in and neither of them work. Is it some kind of problem with the drivers that I removed?

Any ideas on how to get nVidia drivers on there? I'm assuming that's what I need.

Sounds like a power problem but since your old card does the same that makes it a bit confusing. You might check and make sure the card's contacts are fully seated in the agp slot.

Is it one long steady beep, or beep, beep, beep, etc?

The latter would indicate a RAM problem. Make sure the sticks are inserted all the way.

Both the cards are doing it?
Then 1] Check RAM. It has to be the rams fault.
2] Reset the CMOS. happened in my friends gigabyte mobo, the board didnt accept the 5700U after he removed the mx440. it just kept beeping. Clearing the CMOS helped him.
3] Your mobo's AGP slot has developed a problem. check both the cards in some other comp (freinds comp).
