how does SLI load balancing work for SFR/AFR/AFR2?

i have 2 questions that i am unable to answer:
when i activate the SLI load balancing graph,

- why is the SFR green line in Far cry (balance) dropping to the bottom of my screen and stays there? doesn't that line follow the work balance of both cards? its like 1 is always iddle

- talking about idle card, when i check the core temperature of my second card, it's always at idle temp, even after a doom3 1600 ULTRA 4X16AF....

even if 1 cards horsepower is enought, doesn't all the SLI modes balance the load on BOTH cards ?

When the line drops down to the very bottom or goes to the very top. That could mean several things. Its not load balancing properly, Possibly due to bandwith restrictions, Its CPU limited and not properly limited by fillrate, or its doing numerous render to texture calculations.

arf, its coming back.
I think my second GPU is loosing syncronisation randomly

each time i get into the control panel, i either loose it (partialy?) or get it back.
when i loose it, my bench scores drops and the far cry line drop too

i think it's only partial because my scores are still better then in single card mode...investigating
