Hi People,
I need to get a new power supply as my current one fails to power my new 6800GT (AGP). I’ve narrowed it down to two options:

1. Tagan TG480-U01 480W ATX Silent PSU – does 28amp on the +12V
2. Enermax EG485AX-VHB(W)SFMA 480W ATX – that has two +12V rails – one does 15A and the other 16A

I understand that the power requirements (as stated by Nvidia) are 18amp, so does that mean that the Enermax can’t power it? As each rail is LESS than 18amp?

Also, I understand that two rail design is good for new processors that need a +12V power connection, but I have a +2500XP that doesn’t require it – is there any point for me to get such a PSU than?

Last but not least, which is better at cooling the case, and handling OC?

Many thanks,

No need to create a whole new thread when you could have simply responded in the existing one.
