10,000 + 3d marks with GF3

i just got a 10165 in 3dmark 2001 with a gf3

Heh, craps all over my gf3 score, but I didnt have my FSB as 194 ;) Ive also messed up my CPU trying to unlock it, dont ask :mad: but now I can only run my FSB at 130 until I get my new CPU :/ I ran the benchmark the otherday at 130 and my nature score is still higher than your with the same drivers :p I got 55.5fps .

How did you get such a low score? I had around 14k on my Geforce 3 and over 60fps in nature. All my vertex/pixel shader, bump mapping scores were crackloads higher than yours.

I would expect a Geforce 3 to be able to rach 17k with the right cpu and overcloking. :)

i only get 12,500 at 640x480 16bit not much of a difference from my 1024x 768 32 bit score the only real difference i notice was nature was up around 90-150 fps at 640x480

ya my nature score and vertex shader score is so low i dont know why, must be my card? the card is running at 235/535 maybe overclocking it messed it up?

Hate to let this on, but you must make one change at a time, bios, driver, dx8/8.1/9, vid properties, oc'ing, whatever. And then bench every single change to see wether it helped or hurt performance. Try the card with only a slight oc to see if there's yer prob. Then sneak up on the oc till you drop off, then back up a lil.
Very easy to spend a day doing this.

Just to add, Ive compared some of my scores as I have a GF3 also. Some interesting things from my last benchmark.

Due to problems with my XP1800+ the test was run with a FSB @ 130MHz (dont ask ;) )
My GF3 OC to 240/560 stock vanilla gf3 btw
same drivers 41.09
DirectX9

Your Nature score - 51.5 fps
My Nature score - 55.5 fps

All of the tests above the Nature test are much mcuh higher than mine, did I mention "much" higher

As for all the other tests they are much closer, this would be due to the limit of the card I guess, where as the other tests are more affected by the cpu.

These cards can withstand 97mhz and 100mhz AGP speeds! Without volt-modding! Something un-achievable with newer cards... OC_This over @ AMDforums (world record gf3 scores, all cpu classes) recently posted some good to know info on this subject over the last couple weeks...

I'd like to see what a volt-modded water cooled, OC'ed ti500 runnin @ 100mhz agp could do in an nforce2/XP2600 (333)...

the proof will be in codecreatures, not 3dmark.

It'd prolly whup the crap outta many many a GF4...

Hey that GF3 plss's over my Ti4400 in high detail car & lobby :o shame i will mostly likly never be able to get my CPU to 1900MHz due to it being a rev1 :o man i need a better board i know if it got a nForce2 board i could very easily get an extra 1000pts :)
