not so long ago, microsoft released a patch for WMV-HD acceleration, DirectX Video Acceleration update for XP mediaplayer 10:
http://www.support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;888656

it works in single card mode (77.72), i used the batman trailer 1080:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/content_provider/film/ContentShowcase.aspx

but in SLI mode, it only works without the WMV-HD patch.
it also work if i disable the VMR (tools, options, performances, advanced options, uncheck Video Mixing Renderer) -> no more overlay/high quality

But nvidia says it should be set to high-quality for the 7800

someone else have this issue?

I have the same Problem. Bluescreen Error in nv4disp.dll...

What do you mean by not working? That is, what are the symptoms? I would just get a blank screen when using the latest WMP patch although audio was still fine. If I don't install the WMP patches, things are fine. Is that what you're seeing?

i have a black screen and sound. no error unless i play Cineform 1080i files (crash in high quality mode)

-without the patch i have no problem
-with the patch and single card i have no problem (or SLI disabled)
-with patch but without VMR mixing i have no problem

i didn't test the CPU usages yet in thoose cases, but it looks fluid like it should even without the patch.
the Quicktime HD batman still looks choppy, but i think H.264 will be in next drivers.

Okay, yeah, I have that problem also. :)

Edit: BTW, without the latest patch installed, I bounce between 28% to 40% CPU usage with the step into liquid video.

This will be fixed really soon. Just FYI.
