Wait a second, those cards don't even look like they will fit in SLI on most boards!

Yeah i'm thinking about that .. strangly though you can still see the SLI connector slot there.

hopefully that wont restrict them to be used only on certain boards (i.e ASUS boards for the time being). :o

as for the speeds i'm thinking more like 550/1300. thats if its a 24 piper. if 32 i'm expecting 400Mhz core or something close.

Nah. If Nvidia didn't leak or mention the existance of a better card, then the second R5XX went onto the market, everyone would jump at it saying how great it is and how far Nvidia is behind the times

If everyone thinks that Nvidia has a more powerful card comming, they will hold off to see maybe. The whole "mysterious" thing can only help to highten people's anxiety about the card

But... if r520 will be out in late september this means that avaibility of cards will be in early october, so r520 will have a retard of 4 months against 7800gtx, looking back to the 5800-5900 days i think that 4 months will be enought for see a 7900 and if not then of course in time for Christmas.

Well..that only if r520 will be as fast as anybody thinks..

last time i saw so many people have so bright and shining eyes thinking about a next gpu was about .. 5800U lol

p.s. but if r520 will be so fast that nvidia will really need an 800mhz gpu then this means that we will have a faster gpu than even RSX 6 months before RSX will be out?

It's the FX4500 Quadro, not any newfangled ultra. Why does it have a genlock connector on the card, that's a feature that would only go on a quadro

I'd have to agree it looks like a Quadro. Still, that heatsink is so hot. Without a doubt I'd tap that for fun. Sexiest heatsink ever and they're giving it to a workstation card. I would dump my girlfriend to stare into that gorgeous heatsink's big fan every night and feel it's heatpipes taking fluid up and down. Omg I'm going to have add to the semen on a video card thread. That thing is tight!

Well theres a guy in overclockers.com.au and knows quite a lot about these stuff. Apparently he knows somone in Taiwan and has been on the dot when it comes to nVidia graphics and pictures. He happens to be the first to show us assorted pictures of new graphics cards etc.

My bets are the R520 will be paper launched around september, and will not be out in numbers till about January. By then Nvidia should counter it with a nv71 or nv75.
