The speed of Mac OS X running on Intel hardware is impressing some developers who've been privy to one of Apple's first Intel-based developer transition systems.

Even though I'm not fond of Intel, I've been reading that the speed increase is just phenomenal. And just like with every new update or release Apple puts out just speeds my laptop even more so I'm looking forward to see what Apple's got coming up.

That makes no sense considering the fact that the contracts have been signed and there will be no signs of Apple software running on anything AMD in the future.

-Well I stumbled upon more news floating about the web about how the Mactel machines kick some ass on the G5's systems. Now, if these 3.6GHz P4's are so roxX0r, why does Apple still have THIS (http://www.apple.com/powermac/performance/) page up?

Note, in those benchmarks, that's against one of the "slow" p4 3.6 GHz that the devs are busy raving about right now.... Then again, it isn't news to us that the benchmarks were skewed.

Perhaps because THIS (http://www.apple.com/powermac/performance/) is and always has been bullcrap?

In spite of what many mac fans say, apple is every bit as devious as microsoft (if not more, in fact I would lay money on it being more.) In spite of being forced to take down those "worlds fastest PC" ads in the UK for being downright wrong, many mac fans still believe it to be so.
