Sorry if this is a repost. I swear I haven't seen anything that looks like this before. Can't make up my mind if I like it... it's... weird.

Hmm, interesting look. I feel the same way, that is, not sure how I feel about it yet.

And here's a snippet from an informal poll on their forums "Accessories - Would you like to see additional cooling solutions provided by EVGA that keep the Warranty intact?"

That would be so cool for a vid card company to offer stuff like this!

edit: and here's the back of it- http://www.mvktech.net/images/reviews/evga/G70ACS2b.jpg

Looks sorta reminiscent of leadteks old boombox cooler on the 5900 cards. I just hope its easy to maitenence, I have a real dust/cat hair issue ((Damn cat is shedding)) and I clean the GPU almost weekly because of it.

Honestly, it seems that it will act as the refrence design, it just is a plastic overlay of the rest of the card. Definatly looks diffrent though.

eVGA made some excellent custom coolers back in the days of NV25/28 (GeForce 4Ti). They were good for +5% to +10% OC. It's good to see them innovating again.

Mamovaka, the protection has arrived! Go get and get some foreplay. Sorry, it does look good. Actually, I see the gainward type of hsf here.

I take it that the card is a non-SLI? I did not see an opening for the bridge?

I don't care if it looks like ass personally, if it significantly cools better than the plain reference heatsink I'll take it. You can never get too cool.

notice the fan. it looks like the refrence 7800GTX cooler, covered with a box.
the Ram-Sinks look neat though. maybe the cooler is designed more for memory cooling, than C0re cooling. ofcourse there could be a copper block inside. since the core reaches 500mhz with refrence cooler, mem needs more cooling to reach 1300+ .
