this is the result from the scan:

Processor
AMD Athlon(tm) XP/MP/4 2000MHz

Display Card
NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4800

Memory

everything is right, but my video card... is not right... well in nvidia driver controller it says its a Ti 4600 but well this one it says its a 4800 :P!

and WOW... what?
for Battlefield 2!
it says that everything is oky... and that my system should run the game... but look at this:

Minimum System
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 1.2GHz
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce3
Memory: 256MB
Disk Space: 1.0GB
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP

is it just me or the minimum system req. for BF2 is wrong!
because i have tried to run the game on my system and it doesn't work!

Ya it doesn't run on Ti 4600 :(
i returned it and got my money back....!
I run most games with no problem.... Farcry, Doom 3 ...etc... and this is the only game that didn't/ and doesn't run on my video card...!

according to them... the card "has to support Directx 9.0"! :@!
and the person who i was talking too said that it even runs on 9200se :(

well this is the first game ( that needed a DirectX 9) that didn't run on my Geforce 4 Ti 4600!

well, if i did have money! ( stupid University...lol)
i would like to update my system....
here is the system i would i like to get.... as soon as i get some money... well alot...

2x Athlon X2 4800+ ( or lower)
Dual core Tyan motherboard with nforce pro. chipset...!
2x Geforce 7800 GTX!
3GB of RAM
2x 250GB hard drive!

but eck it costs alot...
the motherboard is around $575 (CND)
the RAM is around $446.97 (CND)
the video cards is around $1419.98 (CND)
the hard drives are around $297.8 (CND)
the total for everything except the CPU and case is $2739.75
the total for everything except the case is $5565.73 eck!

I rather to wait until the prices drop!
i meant $5565.73 is almost my tuition fee... :P ( my tuition fee is $7500 per/ semester)

Welcome to real world of modern gaming.......
You should have noted that BF2 will play on nothing less than an FX 5700.
If BF2 is the sign of things to come in newer games, your Ti 4600 will become a dinosaur very quickly!

My pops still plays his games on a GeForce2 and thats just fine with him. The Ti 4600 is still a great card (and faster than half the FX series). The game's poor coding is to blame.

The 4600 does not support PS1.4. Hence the reason it does not work with BF2. Pretty soon games will start requiring PS2.0 cards... (Sweeney said the UE3 engine probably will)
