View Full Version : Will the regular 9700 outperform a Ti 4600?
I am thinking of buying one but want to see if it is worth the money. If its not appreciably faster, I will probably wait till NV30. If it is, I think I will get the regular, not PRO 9700. Any thoughts?
BTW, I currently have a Pentium 4 1.5ghz (socket 423) on a Intel 850 4XAGP board.
If I were you, I would look for some benchies. www.anandtech.com for example, see for yourself.

with your CPU i doubt the raw performance will be much better.
with AF and FSAA the answer is a resounding yes though.
and people have figured out how to unlock the bios to allow overclocking on the 9500Pro/9700 non pro...should be able to get that 9700 up to at least 9700 Pro speeds to put all doubt to rest about it beating a 4600.
