I'm about to buy a used Geforce 2 for my old computer, an Intel 440BX. I'm just wondering if it also supports the RenderAccel extension. I ask because, well, it's really old, but it would be really awesome for a 1999 machine to do all that fancy transparency and dropshadow effects... accelerated. I heard that nVidia has good Linux drivers (my GF4 Ti worked fine in Tuxracer).
But browsing this forum I got a lot of threads with people's computers crashing! Like:http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=43577
The Geforce 2 Go is like a Geforce 2 MX, so I'm rather concerned.... which driver version is the best to use for Geforce 2 under Linux?

i had a geforce 2 mx400 and it worked great under linux. can't remember if the "renderaccel" extension worked (can't even remember what that ext does), but 3d acceleration works fine, and i could play games with no problems.
