hey everyone...i'm thinkin of investing in a fan controller, as the new panaflos i bought (high speed) are just a little louder than i had wanted (altho they provide the cooling i want). so i've been looking around for something that will be able to control a few of the fans in my case (about 4 fans would suffice). right now i'm leaning towards an Aerogate II (would look at the aerogate III but the display is only one line which doesn't provide much info). i need something that doesn't have huge dials either, as my case (an ultra dragon glossy) has a front panel and i don't want the dials to prevent the panel from closing. so can anyone give me some recommendations for controllers that do a good job, or verify that the aerogate II works well? i'm not lookin to spend a whole lot of this either, around $40-50 max. thanks

I'm using the Zalman ZM-MFC1 and I'm very happy with it. Cheap, effective, and attractive ;)

yeah i saw that while lookin thru different controllers...looks pretty good, altho i'd have no real use for the 2 switches. thanks tho. just need somethin to control about 4 or 5 fans. not even sure if i'd use the thermal sensors or not with the likes of the aerogate, but i'd have to play around with those to see how they work.

i was also lookin at the vantec nxp's...not sure which one (the 201 or 205), but they look like they could do the trick as well. any thoughts?

Check out www.frozencpu.com
They have a good selection, I have owned both a vantec, and a sunbeam.

yeah i've been to a lot of the good cooling sites...just lookin more for personal experiences with any of the ones i mentioned or that i haven't but really stand out. i'll take a look at the sunbeam tho...are the knobs really big on those jakup? because i have that front panel on my case that i don't want anything to prevent it from closing

hey jakup, do you find the led's from the sunbeam to be a nuisance? because i think that's my best bet right now, but i've read reviews saying the blue led's are super bright. while i could just remedy that by closing my front panel (it would close if i installed the sunbeam, wouldn't it?).

I've been using this plain-jane, no-frills, 4-fan controller from Vantec for about a year. Works and looks good...

Sorry I'm late, the knobs are huge and do not allow for my front panel to close at all :( The vantec worked fine. In all honosty, I would probably recommend the vantec over the sunbeam. The sunbeam looks a little nicer IMO, but the knobs are way to big.
