View Full Version : Any way to convert .swf to .ppt ?
Does any one know of a program to convert swf to ppt?
I've found some that can do ppt to swf, but that doesn't help me.
I am going through some on-line training for work and they are basically slide shows, I'd like any easy way to conveert it toa ppt so I can print out the whole thing.
Otherwise I'll just have to take screen shots of every page. Which would stink because there are hundreds of pages.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Heya, i just stumbled onto this through a search on google, on how to acutally convert it from swf to ppt. From what i can tell, it aint possible, but you can embed the flash file in a power point presentation (I read it in the swish help file ^_^) First, save your flash as a swf, i say that cause im reading from the Swish Help. Then open up powerpoint, and go to the View - Toolbars then activate the Visual Basic Toolbar. With that done, click on the Control Toolbox (its a picture of a hammer and spanner by the looks). Then with that done, a control toolbox (another toolbar) will appear, with the same hammer and spanner image on there, if you click that it will drop down a list of different options / files you can enter into your presentation. Scroll down to the option "Shockwave Flash Object", then it gives you a new cursor. You can click and drag that into a box into your slide, which can be resized after. Now, with that done you can go into the properties of the box you just drew, and write the file path of your flash file, and change other options. Recommended options to change in the Swish Help File are as follows...
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
To embed your Movie, make the following changes: · Embed Movie: change this value to True · Loop: change to False (if you want your .swf Movie to loop, leave this parameter as True) · Movie: type in the absolute path of your .swf movie ( c:/movie_directory/movie_name.swf )
Hope this helps ^_^

actually, the only way you can do this is convert your swf to wmv (http://www.swfkits.com/swf_to_video/) at first, then insert wmv movie to your ppt.
