If it ever breaks, you will never get it fixed...

Hmm just read that and if thats true. It may be worth avoiding due to poor warranty service in the Us/Canada

This is why it's good to buy from American manufacturers like BFG. Hell if the BFG was available when I bought my 7800 I'd have picked it over Leadtek. I always like buying local because it supports the economy and you get domestic support (most of the time).

BFG and eVGA are both American right?

Yep, and the BFG call center is actually located in 'America'

While the company is an american company, all maufacturing of video cards are outsourced to 3rd world countries.

That may be but you still get domestic support and that's what counts.

not the case with most products though regardless of where their company is based.

It took me months to find my video card after Gainward pulled out of the american market.... I wouldn't be expecting any warranty at that point. Although this was last winter.

I got mine before they pulled out of the US ... and to be honest ... even if I knew they were pulling out then... I still would have gotten it :D Gainward sure made one badass card for the 6800 series .... and im sure thier 7800 series will rock too.

Well, they deleted all the posts that had anything to do with RMAs and told us to contact Tiawan. The email addy is dead and others have said the phone number is dead also. Gainward makes good cards, but if the service sucks, so do the cards. :thumbdwn:

Me too, I have an eVGA 6800GT and it's been rock solid. I heard of a lot of people with unstable BFGs back in the beginning and long RMA processes. Plus, I love the step-up program.

I'm eVGA all the way!

The fan on my Ti4200 started went out last summer. Called BFG, got an RMA, shipped the Ti4200 to them on Tuesday, the replacement card was delivered to me on Friday. The best part is that the replacement card wasn't a Ti4200, but an FX5900 XT OC. I actually ended up selling the 5900XT a few weeks later because I got in on the Best Buy $300 BFG 6800 GT OC deal/mistake last summer. BFG4ever

If anybody is interested... more posts with people getting screwed are on there now. Better hurry before they get deleted again.

Since you live in Europe, you have nothing to worry about. This just affects their customers in the USA and Canada.

I have nothing against Gainward cards. Just the people that bought them and decided to screw the US and Canadian customers.
