Not fantastic but its a start. Removing the peg of 8.28 Yuan/Dollar to 8.11. It's a step in the right direction, and allowing it to be traded against other currencies shows signs of China emerging in another direction. They seem to do things very slowly, but progress is progress regardless.

Their progress is slow I think because deep down they fear a repeat of what happened to Russia.
