Heh... you get a good rumor, and they make you regret posting it by being one day late.
Evil MSFT.

It was funny really. I had a conference call with a company on Monday telling about their support for DX9.0 being released on a certain day (Press releases etc.) then Microsoft threw a monkey wrench into the works lol

What pisses me off is that right after I finish using the stupid web installer to get DX 9, I see Benny boy here post that he found the full installer. :p

Rule of MS: Multiply every "should by" by 4.

"A Windows upgrade should be $25"--multiply by 4.

"It should take up 500 megs of space for everything"--multiply by 4.

"It should work"--wait, that's the Rule of MS Stuff Actually Working, which is: Anything that's supposed to work doesn't. :p

Then there's the Corollary to the Rule of MS, which only applies to Visual Studio.NET products--they take up 8 times the space that they should take up. E.g., Visual Basic.NET takes up 1.6 GIGS by default (I **** you not).

What Is Up With That.
