Wow, FX-59. Probably cost an arm and part of a leg though.

I see that as so ridiculous. The increase in fps cannot be worth it next to any of the x2s that can all overclock to the 2.6ghz area on decent air cooling.

Wonder what kinda overclock one could get on the FX?

good point. that said, alot of the fx 57s are not good overclockers. they get to 3 ghz and that's it (on air).

plus, at high resolutions, (1600 x 1200 and up), the difference between a 3.2ghz and 2.6ghz a64 with 1meg of cache is undiscernable.

Don't think the FX-59 will help this sitution any(SLI maybe)

I challenge the statement that "all" X2's overclock to 2.6 on air. Yeah right.

Regarding the road map definitely looks like more of the same: clock speeds are inching forward painfully slow.

When the hell are the making a 3.0ghz dual core, I'm not changing until then.
