alrighty then...

I finally got my BFG 7800 GTX and I decided to run some tests. the first test was of course an initial 3DMark '05 run to which it brought me 8696 (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1055978) marks at 501/1370. however, 3DMark reports my core at 540. so I would like to see what other BFG 7800 GTX owners are getting out of their cards as in what kinds of O/Cs and what are your 3DMark '05 scores? please give a quick summary of what kind of CPU you are using. I'm running a 3GHz 630 chip @ 4.2GHz.

also, I would like to know what kind of load temps that you guys who own this card are getting with yours. mine idles in the 51C-ish area and it pegs to 80C when running the RTHDR utility. so I'm wondering if my 80C load temps are on par with others on stock cooling.

please report your results.

3DMark showing 500/1300 is sort of a bug. 3DMark is reporting the clockspeed of a certain part of the chip (unknown what part at this time), not the "actual" speed that most of the core runs at. It's actually running at 460Mhz as advertised. This extra clockspeed that it's showing is always (on any 7800 card) 40Mhz higher than the "real"

A bit OT but if you have BF2, how does your 7800 hold up with the 2405 in that game? Also if you drop the res to 1680x1050 on your 2405 in a game, do you notice the interpolation blurriness that results?

^ I cant answer that question yet because I just installed my card a couple hours ago and I havent had the chance to install any games yet.

I'll probably install HL2 tomorrow and I'll see how my BFG card does at my LCD's native res which is 1920 X 1200.

My cards idle at 42-43 and game at about 65 max.
