Hi, does the 6800GT with the reference nvidia heatsink (like this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowImage.asp?image=14-143-025-01.jpg,14-143-025-02.jpg,14-143-025-03.jpg,14-143-025-04.jpg,14-143-025-05.jpg,14-143-025-07.jpg&CurImage=14-143-025-01.jpg&Description=BFG%20Tech%20BFGR68256GTOCX%20Geforce% 206800GT%20256MB%20GDDR3%20PCI%20Express%20x16%20V ideo%20Card%20-%20Retail)) use silicon paste or thermal pad for the memory modules? Are they effective enough? Thanks!

They use a thermal pad and yes they seem to be very effictive (I'm able to bring my memory to 1.15 with them).

Both the 7800GTX and 6800GT/Ultra and early 6800's use these thermal pads. They seem fairly effective. Usually Nvidia cards have decent headroom for memory overclocking.
