Hey guys
I just installed a new BFG Geforce 6600 GT AGP Card
I have the latest drivers from Nvidia installed

I right-clicked my desktop and went to properties
Went to settings tab, and then Advanced
I wanted to check to make sure the AGP setting read 4x

I checked it and it says 2x

So I restarted my comp and made sure that
AGP 4x was enabled
and AGP fastwrite was Enabled
after I loaded Optimized Defaults

I checked again and it still says AGP 2x

Now, I know for a fact that the MOBO itself supports AGP4x, so why doesnt the NVIDIA drivers INFO tell me my card is at 4x, and instead says 2x.

Im lost here and not sure what the problem is
Any suggestions would be cool

Thanks

Does it look something like this? Does it say 2x under GPU? And you made sure that in your BIOS for your mobo it is set to 4x or 8x?

When u first pull up the Advaned settings
And click on your Video Card name in the tabs

Ex. Your says Geforce FX 5950 at the top
If you click that, it should say what ur AGP is

I click my name in the same spot
and it says toward the middle
AGP = 2x

I never noticed any settings that say AGP settings, I will have to check that

It should be 4x
