When geforce runs direct3d games @ 800x600, screen is pincushioned outwards at the edges. Probably something simple, but anyone know what gives?
P4 1.7, WinXP, Geforce2 mx400, dx8.1 on Olympic 17"

Have you adjusted the pincushion effect on your monitor to fix it?

Perhaps you should show me where you got that psych degree, and don't flame him unless you know him. (He's not sarcastic Mr. High-and-Mighty)
Anyway, I had the same type of thing happening and there was a fleck of metal in the pins of the card-monitor cable connection.
Don't flame him you plick.
He is trying to help you.
BTW: Just to tease you, I'm not going to help you.

saturnotaku, i didn't know you usually ended with that quote. due to the nature of the question and to your reply, i thought it might have been directed my way. Anyway i apologize to you and to all others here..
lol, you thought his quote was directed at you. :D
That's okay. We forgive you (Don't we Saturn? :))
Well dude, you might have changed your refreshrate with the resolution and that is why it has a funny pincushion effect.
Just re adjust it with your monitor. I used to have that problem when 800x600 100Hz would look all whacky and 800x600 60Hz would look normal.
After re-adjusting once you will not have to do anything again. :)
