Hello all,

I just installed Windows Vista on my Asus A7N8X-E based computer.
I can't get the networking working at all. I have spend about an hour reading posts on this site but nothing helps me out.

I assume that I need nForce drivers from somewhere but can't seem to find out where. This mobo has NVIDIA NFORCE2 Ultra 400.

I also have a USR5416 PCI wi-fi card in the computer and that also does not work.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Zed

Thanks

I tried that but it does not work.
For some reason my ethernet devices are not being "found".
I assume that the drivers don't work for this mobo.

Has anyone been successful in getting networking working on this mobo?

I just got this from another site

The recently released nForce ethernet driver (5.0.4beta1) for Vista is only for nForce3+ chipsets. For nForce2 you can use the ethernet driver from this package (NVIDIA nForce 6.14beta):

http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=903

This has fixed my ethernet problem.

Still a problem with the USR 5416 PCI wi-fi card

Insatllation gives me the following error

"A service installation section in this INF is invalid".

I will go to USR or some other site for help on this since this is not an nForce issue.
