It's subjective so there really is no "better on" or "better off". Some people love it, some don't. If you have an old monitor, it can come in handy by making things more colorful (vibrant). I played around with it a while to essentially make my CRT look more like my LCD monitor (color-wise). I never go over the low setting though.

One pixel below medium, for me. Always on in every scenario. I can tell if someone's not using it right away, as, without it, great monitor or not, everything looks dead and sterile by comparison. To me, of course, and it's totally subjective. I've become quite accustomed to it though.

I like it half way between off and medium. Thats 10 key strokes to the right.

No. I don't like the way it makes things look.

It varies from monitor to monitor; personally I have it 3 strokes from the left/OFF. Any higher and colours look way too, well, vibrant :p

I watched a DivX movie today using the nVidia Purevideo decoder (the movie was converted to DVD). Digital Vibrance literally brought the movie to life. Before I turned on DV it was sooo just dull and ugly... Please don't torture people by letting them watch movies on your PC without Digital Vibrance enabled (unless you have a really good color TV/Monitor).

Don't like it. If a game wanted to have all too bright colours it would have been designed that way.

I recently started using it after reading a thread similar to this and love it so far. As long as you don't turn it up too much it definitely adds to games/movies/pics. Mine is around 20 percent.

I've got it on the low/mid bar, so not that much.

It does make games look better though :)

digital vibrance and image sharpening largely depend on your monitor. i have a samsung 172x. i have digital vibrance on low. digital vibrance looks beautiful on my monitor but i think it's largely due because my lcd monitor panel is 6bit instead of 8bit and dv adds that extra 'oomph'.

image sharpening on my monitor however looks awful. i don't think that option works too well on lcd panels.

[pErMan']I dont use it at all and dont plan on using it either...You make it sound like crack! I geuss, so do I. I can't go without it, even though my monitor kicks much ass.

I used it back when, then i got an ati card, and missed it for about a year, until i got a 6800 gt. I use it at just where low turns into medium on this monitor. Image sharpening on the other hand, I do not like at all.

A lot of people don't like it the first time they switch it on but I bet if those same people took longer to eval they'd change their minds. That's what I did after dissing it inititially.
