But not too sure what brad to get. Prices vary.

Thinking of either BenQ or LG. Anyone got a better brand or reason why i should go for one of the 2?

I'd recommend this one: Image Quest L90D+ (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824179014)

Best 19" monitor all-around. Check Tom's Hardware occasionally for excellent LCD monitor reviews and comparisons. :D

^ the L90D+ seems to have replaced the samsung 172x as the 'it' lcd monitor.

Just do a search in the hardware forum. There are several threads that have some good information on LCD monitors.

I wonder whatever happened to that Dell dude after he got busted buying weed in NYC? ;)

I like the LD90+.

First one I bought had a dead pixel... luckily tiger direct exchanged it no problem.

Second one is perfect! DOES VERY WELL IN GAMING.

Video playback is not as great since this is a 6bit panel. However, 2d apps and games are awesome... great brightness and contrast too!!

Quality is decent. Can't say how it compares in build quality to other monitors, but it is definately one of the better monitors I've used and or seen.

I've read no complaints or personally have no complaints with my Sony LCD.

Actually it isn't a 6-bit panel, it's a full-color PVA panel. This Samsung I have is a 6-bit TN panel but I'd never notice, movies and games alike look spectacular. :D

You'll want to buy from an online store anyway if you can. It's hard to find decent brands at retail, except maybe Best Buy, but they're overpriced and usually only carry older models.

Yep, I can't remember the last bit of hardware I purchased at a store...except maybe my DVD burner (it was on sale).

Which 19'' LCD do you guys think has the best Image Quality? Sharpness, Color, Brightness, etc...

For gaming and price/performance ratio the L90d+ hands down. I have 1 since march and love it.

Mine does. Right out of the box it requires no calibration whatsoever, unlike other monitors. Even the most advanced monitor calibration software doesn't make a single change to the color configuration. Just one look at it and you'll think it has better picture quality than any screen you have ever set your eyes upon. It even has an 8-bit screen to boot, whereas most LCDs only have 6-bit.

The only achelles heel of this monitor is that it has a somewhat slow response time (20ms.) That does provide a little disadvantage for gaming. However for the price I paid for this monitor it is well worth it, especially considering that the contrast ratio is so good, you can see all players in a dark room without cranking the brightness all the way up. That alone gives it a huge edge over other monitors in terms of gaming.

I'd love to get the 2005FPW but 350 is my limit, I dont have any extra cash to go over that.

Right now I'm looking at the Viewsonic VE910B http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824116358

Or this Acer: http://us.acer.com/acerpanam/page4.do?dau22.oid=10546&UserCtxParam=0&GroupCtxParam=0&dctx1=25&CountryISOCtxParam=US&LanguageISOCtxParam=en&crc=1105293665
