That's no help at all considering Soldier of Fortune uses the Quake 3 engine which is based in a real API.
I played SOF2, JK2, SS:SE. All had no problems whatsoever.
Meaning, for the people who do have z-buffer problems etc... when playing games I would suspect that something is playing up with their system.
Drivers work perfect for me. Not 1 problem. So can it be the drivers if they work perfectly on my system?
Yes and no, it's not the drivers fault that there is an incompatibility between hardware/software or whatnot.
It is the drivers fault that it has failed to maintain 100% compatibility with different systems with different software/hardware.
I guess I should be thankful that I have no problems.
Might I just add that it really isn't possible to maintain 100% compatibility all round. :)
I wonder how many combinations of systems there are. :)

I also dont have any issues. All games (openGL and D3D) play fine for me with the new drivers.

Suttering apears when you play Online with DirectX 9 + Cats 3.0
If you play while disconected from internet there is no problem weird , but one guy made tes already its Service Pack 1 for Win Xp that screws up thing without it everything works just fine
I played JK2 online this morning. No stuttering for me.

With the 2.5 drivers, I could run all my OpenGL programs with AIM and Winamp open without any stutters. Now, with Winamp open, it will stutter every couple of seconds. However, if I play a game without Winamp or AIM on (which isn't TOO inconvienent) it works fine. It's still inexcusable and annoying, but it is stutter-free for me with everything closed down.

I initially had serious stuttering with serious (no pun intended) sam 2. It was in the menus and was so horrible that I could barely navigate them. Never bothered to start a game since it was so ugly.
I don't know if this will help anyone else but after I got it switched over to D3D and got the resolution adjusted to 1600x1200 it seems fine now after switching BACK over to GL. It was ofcourse fine when I had it in D3D briefly. Was I lucky that it went away?
Obviously, this "fix" wouldn't work with Quake3 or any other entirely GL dependent game.

Hehe..yeah thats why i threw the smiley in there. Didnt mean it to be a serious help suggestion. Was just having some fun.
But on a serious note...who besides JC uses this "real API" instead of D3D.Lets face it D3D is huge.
Im sure Ill use OGL when Doom3 comes out, but basically If its tab disappeared from my control panel tomorrow..i wonder how long it would take before i noticed....more than likely not till i bought and tried to play Doom3. :)

That's a damn shame, too. OpenGL is so much cleaner and simpler to code for than D3D. If there's an option to use OpenGL in a game, by gum I'm going to use it. UT, UT2003, Quake 3 and its ilk, etc. I hate Direct3D, but sometimes we have no choice. :(

But hey Nvidia is not perfect either :D

Their Hardware is excellent, but their drivers are another story.
I work in IT, and if it wasn't for the state of their drivers, I would own one.
