Just got Bloodrayne 2 after the long delay for the PC game. Like this game a lot just as I did Bloodrayne 1. Graphics quite a bit better than Bloodrayne 1 and she's got a lot more moves than the first game. Not too shabby if you're a Bloodrayne fan (I definitely am). There's just something about a sexy blood thirsty vampire chick kicking the crap out of every one she meets. :luv:

Might get it when the price drops... I would have bought it right away if it came out way back when I played the demo and the console versions came out... but they delayed it too many times.

So, it's available now? I've been waiting forever for this game.

Yup... after like 6 or 7 months of delays it finally came out... I read it is slightly hard to find in the US right now though.

Yeah, I'm having trouble finding it locally. Gamestop had it listed as in stock so I went by the mall on the way home from work but couldn't find it. The guy working there wouldn't check the computer so it's possible I missed it but I doubt it. They're down to two small racks for PC games now so it wasn't hard to look at every title they had. I then tried CompUSA, Best Buy and EB and none had it. I guess I'll have to order it online.

Well at least your gamestop has PC games... I went into mine the other day and there were NONE... which REALLY sucks :\.

I dont understand this type of delay. It's a port, what was the problem? This is what ticks me off about pc gaming, they get so many horrible or delayed ports....and then the companies complain that there's no money to be made on pc. Well maybe if you released it on time or didnt do such a poor port, it would make money.

Did they enhance the game with higher res- textures or new effects ?

I got mine at the local EBgames shop. Walmart has it too. The more I play this game the more I like it. Rayne looks stunning (and has the same voice as the first one). There are quite a few differences from the first game. Chain works a lot differently (no longer pulls in to automatically bite. Much more control over which way you want to fling the person or objects once harpooned), guns are tied to power attained. Rayne does a whole lot of things she couldn't do in the first one. She is much more detailed in the game too. If you liked Bloodrayne 1, this one is a must buy. I liked the first one a lot and like this one even better. Priced at $30. Can't beat that deal if you like to play games.

Dang, I meant to drop by Wal-Mart on the way home to check for that. I saw they have it in stock online so I was hoping they'd have it locally.

msxyz, I believe they did update it a little. I think there are some new levels that PC users get and I think the graphics might have been updated a little. I'm looking for the link to where I read that now...

Edit: I'm having trouble finding it (the link where I read that) so take what I said with a grain of salt since I could be mistaken about that.

I wouldn't even waste time with the demo, it won't even scratch the surface on what Rayne can do. Also, the demo only installs in C:\Program Files, no option to put it anywhere else. I don't know about you but I put nothing there, except critical windows stuff, too bloated already. $30 dude (better than a lot of $50 games I've bought)! You can't spare that, you better take up fishing. I don't know how anyone could not like this game. But I've said that about a lot of other games too that some people trash. Some people actually like to play games and others like to spend all their time on forums being game critics trashing about every game that comes out. This one is a keeper. It's not just good, it ranks in my definite favorites list, which I don't just throw any game that comes along in there.

If you played Bloodrayne 1 and liked it, you're in for a real treat with Bloodrayne 2. Graphics are so much better. In Bloodrayne 1, everything sort of had a dull grayish look to it. This one is completely different, a lot more bright and crisp and shinny, Rayne looks stunning (especially in her classic Rayne outfit). Instead of German zombies/vampires in the first one, this time it's like punk rocker vampires. Heh heh. More gothic. Better story, better graphics, better gameplay. I should go to work for Majestic, cause I'm sure promoting this game.

Yeah, I enjoyed the demo but it was annoying when it installed itself in Program Files. I still haven't found the game locally but maybe I'll have better luck this weekend.

Thanks for the Wal-Mart tip. I can't believe it but I actually found it today at Wal-Mart. Also, being a console port I figured it would come on one CD so I was pretty surprised to see it comes on 4 CDs.

Edit: Oops, as GamingLordX pointed out in the post following this one, consoles use DVDs. I forgot about that.

Why would you expect it to come on one CD? Console games come on DVD's. Last time I checked, 1 CD does not hold nearly as much as one DVD.

Good point. I forgot they use DVDs.

Heh, the most important part I guess...the outfits. Technically a spolier I guess so be warned.
