I read ESPN daily for my sports fix but have lately been getting REALLY annoyed by their huge banner ads that cover the main page's menu. I can't even click onto some of the links until the ad is fully completed or if I refresh the page.

What I want to know is if any of you sports fans know of another site that you'd highly recommend to me that offers excellent coverage and on the minute sportswire news. I've tried a couple out there but didn't like how they covered breaking sports news (or lack thereof).

Thanks!

Depends on the sports you follow.

I have book-marked all the sites that I use to follow my teams for major pro sports, ie www.nfl.com and www.nba.com

For most cricket, football (soccer), tennis, f1 and others, I book mark various sites.

For most up to date info on news, results and general factoids I typically use yahoo or google news tools and go to the sports headlines.

The only site you need is www.newsnow.co.uk

Their coverage of football(soccer) is excelent and im pretty sure their american sports coverage is too. Incidentally, you can find news about anything on there and quickly

I usually stick with Yahoo! Sports, because, like you, ESPN.com's ads drive me insane.

stncttr908, I'm using Yahoo! Sports and it looks all good. Didn't think they would be so that's why I never gave them a shot. Has everything I'm looking for minus the annoying ads that cover the links. Thanks!
