I currently have a 6800GT that has been successfully softmodded to a quadro 4000. Using specperf I get great benchmarks results.

Will a 7800GTX get better specperf benchmarks results than a quadro 4000 softmodded 6800GT/Ultra ??

I'm primarily interested in 3D content app performance and not games.

Can someone that have a 7800GTX or 7800GT please provide som specperf benchmarks results?

Thanks!

Benchmark results below for softmodded quadro 4000 (6800GT)

If your primary interest is modeling, the Quadro-modded 6800 will be a better choice, mostly from a software standpoint. Quadro-certified drivers go through different verification processes before they are approved when compared to the standard reference ones.

Yes, I know that a quadro is better for professional 3d apps but I want to know if the performance of 7800GTX can match a quadro 4000 since it will have 24 pipes compared to 16 etc etc.
