I have an Asus p4sdx p4 2ghz which has agp 8x. Bios is set just how nvidia wants it, 400 watt power supply.

Device manager reads it as 6600, but the nview control panel reads it as the Go GT. I've tried a 5 different drivers and nothing.

Could be a cosmetic bug, as long as it does not affect functionality, you can safely ignore it.

Yeah my gigabyte 6600GT used to read as 6600GT PCI e and had 500/1000 clocks instead of 500/900 for AGP.

Could you elaborate on that a little? Your first post didnt mention anything about it not working...

Yeah...is the card working or not? If its working just fine, then dont worry about what it reads, probably just a bug.

Sounds like a bug, but technically, isn't the 6600 chip a true PCI-E thats using a bridge chip to allow it to run in AGP? Maybe nview is reading it correctly.
