Leadtek 7800GTX running 480/1300 at the moment, seems to be the sweet spot. 40c idle 60/65 under load (Gaming F.E.A.R).

Mind running any 3dmark benchmark with it set to loop 20 times or the equivilent of 1 hour of gaming then posting a screenshot?

uhh, I could do 560/1.1 on the stock cooling, and no artifacts what so ever.

I've the same problem! I'm using two Gainward CoolFX GTX in SLI.
I'm unable to apply the frequency. Also Powerstrip/Rivatuner don't work properly.
What could I do to fix that?
yeah powerstrip etc. don't work properly either actually slows down when i use powerstrip, How do you overclock in sli? :(

Xfx 7800gtx (the 450/1255 version)

http://server2.uploadit.org/files/shapeshifter-ocs.JPG

I have the same cooling mod as PeterJensen has, (zipped tied also, but Im using a zip tie on both sides so the fan won't rattle)

yields me a 37C idle temp

(drops to 34C when we have the air on, right now its off)

6600 series cards have a higher clocked core then 6800 series...

Aphot, Temps have to be monitored during gameplay since they drop instantly after the 3D Application has terminated.

Sorry bout that, I thought we were referring to a 6800GT. Whats the stock clock speeds on a 6600GT?

He has a 6600GT. Its a produced on the 110nm process which allows for much higher clock speeds than the 6800 series. Those clock speeds are very reasonable. Some people (http://www.nvnews.net/reviews/gigabyte_6600/page5.shtml) have even gotten the core up to 600mhz.

EDIT: Bah, I'm slow. 500/1000 is the stock speeds.

If you look about half way through, thats mid gaming, it shows 77C :P

Running any of the marks in a loop doesn't constitute real gaming. My 430/1300 on my 6800GT is unstable in repeated marks, but perfectly stable for my all day WoW sessions. Considering I play WoW and not 3dmarks...ya.

People who believe in the power of the mark I ask you...would you be interested in a bridge in brooklyn?

420/1100, I could go 430/1150, but meh...no need to yet. Aside from f.e.a.r, I keep it @ stock.

400Mhz core / 1100Mhz memory. I could go much higher (Had it at 435Mhz / 1300Mhz on optimal detect in coolbits) but it works fine where its at and plus is under warrenty with this OC :D
Attached is my OC pic... and the video card (note thats not my computer with the card... but its the same video card I have). I cant seem to find a good picture of just my card and I don't feel like taking it out to do so right now. :p

Your 6800GTs MEM will do 1300? Damn. I can't get much more than 1150 out of mine.

My 6800GT is running at 420/1100 right now. Idle is 45C load is 55C.

Ya .. when i saw that I almost sh!t my pants ... lol. I thought maybe coolbits goofed or something so I did it again and it was around the same exact speeds so I guess it can do that. I did not trust it though and went back to my safe and happy settings of 400/1100. When I got this card a year ago it was $422 so im not exactly willing to push it to far untill I have too... as it was quite an investment :p Works great... so no need to tax it anymore than i need too untill games start to push my current speeds and my FPS is no longer where id like to see it :)
