How do they work?

If i start a game of far cry does the far cry profile that came with my drivers automatically load?

Do i have to select it?

Is there a place to download profiles for new games?

Also, do these profiles make a difference?

1) They start automatically after you check the options you want on them then click "apply"
2) Yes
3) No you dont need to do so
4) Try nHancer .. with it you can download new optimized profiles for your games/setup .. simply a handy tool for anyone.
5) Yes they make a difference if they are well optimized. like getting better IQ or performance , more stability ..etc

profiles are for custom aa/af settings. there are other settings you can tweak but as was discovered by that nhancer guy they have no effect on a per game basis unless you set it globaly for all games.

you make your own profiles. there are SLI profiles you can download if your lazy. the driver detects when you launch the game automatically and sets settings according to your profile.

You will however need to link the per game profile to the game executable.
