Just wanted to let peeps know that the PC Demo (http://mystworlds.ubi.com/us/) has been released. I've never been into the whole Myst thing, but the graphics looked nice so I thought I'd give it a try :D

I took this screenie for you all. 1280x1024 All settings on High 4xAA.

I was going to use this one as my desktop but forgot and left the little hand pointer in the middle. I'm not a big fan of the Myst games but it does look really nice so I gave it whirl also.

Woah. This one isn't pre-rendered?

I downloaded the demo and installed it... yet it won't let me play it for some reason :\.

I wish I could find Real Myst for cheap (they remade Myst a couple of years back and it was fully 3d and you walked around rather than clicked around).

Acouple Myst games now have not been pre-rendered.

I found the demo extremely buggy for me, The settings for the game would revert if I enter the options menu and AA would cause me to crash.

Other then Uru, RealMyst and this one, they all have been prerendered havent they?
I recall seeing my bro playing Myst IV, looked like QT Panorama using video files.
was really nice tho.

Someone at stereovision.net says this works great with stereo 3-D glasses - gonna give a demo a whirl when I get home later.

It does look quite nice I agree, the guy at the start his face almost looks like a movie, can't quite describe it but his lips move very fluidly. I cheated and read the walkthrough :o

I just played the demo, and I can say that I will definatly be buying this game. I loved the Myst series, but this one has seemed to achieve something that no other myst title has before - prerendered graphics in a realtime environment. Uru was good, but it missed the mark a bit graphics wise. The one things is that the character models aren't perfect, but the environments are truly amazing.
