Very good news for Australians and what great leadership. Now I cross my fingers and hope that my beloved US government follows suit and kicks out this plague that is sweeping this country also.

Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law should get out of Australia, a senior government minister has said, hinting that some radical clerics might be asked to leave (http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20050824/wl_asia_afp/australiaislamattacks;_ylt=AlURcb5r4GUEsr3nVTvhVxg fYhAF;_ylu=X3oDMTBiMW04NW9mBHNlYwMlJVRPUCUl)

Not when you have libs preaching multiculturalism to the masses and indoctrinating it into children via government cess-schools. Combine that with a president who is showing that he has less and less of a spine and well...it ain't gonna happen any time soon.

I think Bush has a spine to do what he wants. The problem is kicking muslims fanatics out of the country is not what he wants. Just like how fixing the immigration problem is not what he wants.

Bush is a liberal!

I think Bush needs to get some nuts and start doing the same thing over here.

I'm kind of disapointed regarding Bush's stance on this. Rather than deporting these fanatics back to where they belong, he's taking the route of "let's not offend anyone."

In the wake of last month's London bombings by British-born Muslims, Britain is debating new powers which could include closing mosques where clerics are suspected of supporting extremists and deporting those who glorify suicide bombers.

^^^^^We need to start doing this.

They can want whatever they like, so long as they don't act to impliment it they can stay (or encrouage others to impliment it). The idea of a Sharia state makes them about as bad as your average commie wannabe. Advocating violence to achieve the sharia state is when someone should be kicked out.

Actually, Moslems who want Sharia are idiots. Islamic laws should only apply to moslems, right? Then Moslems engaging in pre-marital sex will be stoned to death and moslems drinking alcohol will get severe punishment or such. Heck, if I were a moslem, I would be the first who says "**** NO" to Sharia.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. 6 months ago this could have been said the same about britian, france and australia. Things seem to be snowballing fast and the west is finally realising what kind of impact islam is having on OUR way of life.

It amazes me though how imbedded Islam is in this country and how immigration from these places have just exploded in the last 20yrs. Just travel( i just did on vaction) down I-75 from Michigan to the South and Mosques are so frequent I thought i was driving through the Middle East, especially in Ohio. I mean we're talking about a huge(understatement) Mosque in the middle of no where, just a corn field just off of the expressway. It's like money is no issue.

My area alone is the capital of Islam in the US. I can't express enough how much shi-t I've heard spewed from the mouths of muslims over the years about the US and Americans. This "radical" islam isn't new, it's just now finally being talked about for what it is. A plaque brought to us both in the form of terror and that of the silent war from the "peaceful" Muslims. Which are embedding themselves deeply in to our culture, using our PC weakness to minipulate the system and have us conform to their ways. Shame on us for letting it happen.

Tyr-Sog, after reading your post I think we need better deportation laws in America.

That is going to be extremely difficult given the design of our constitution. More people in the US would like to see this happen than anybody in e.g. the UK or Australia where this has already happened. But our constitution doesn't necessarily favor the majority oppinion, in fact it was designed not to permit mob rule. This would probably require much more than an act of congress; you are talking somewhere along the lines of actually adding an amendment to the constitution, although it might be possible to get away with something less severe than actually doing so. If they did amend the constitution, they would need to be careful to word the amendment so that they can't just arbitrarily deport people for excersizing their free speech rights.

I normally stay out of these discussions, but:

trea·son
n.

1. Violation of allegiance toward one's country or sovereign, especially the betrayal of one's country by waging war against it or by consciously and purposely acting to aid its enemies.
2. A betrayal of trust or confidence.

How is fully supporting terrorists and their activities NOT considered aiding them, therefor treason? I could have sworn there were laws against treason in the US:confused:

We can't enforce these rules against the more subtle acts of treason because we are the only country to have an ACLU.

Of course... theres always some organization\government in the way of another's actions (no matter how good or bad they might be) so in the end, nothing gets done

Then the ACLU are traitors and should be tried for treason.

I'd be happy if our government would just start with the deportation of the illegals because it's not only Mexicans who are here illegally. Silly me, that viloates their human rights in some way. Ass backwards when those that come here have just as many if not more rights then those who come here legally or who have been here for generations. What a mess.

I honestly don't mind if mexicans move here as long as they are hard-working and don't cause problems. I mean, all they want to do is mow our grass and paint our houses. It's not like they are stealing the 50k+ a year "white-collar" jobs. A lot of people forget that this country was founded by illegial immigrants.

Now who I *do* want to see deported are these no good Islamic extremists. There should be a law that says that people who want to see America destoryed should be kicked out of the country.

Unfortuanlly it just doesn't stem to cutting grass and painting houses. It stems to many of the trades which legal Americans make a good(well in jepordy) living doing. Not every American is behind a cubical, in a corporate office or working on the line in some plant.

For example bricklayers are now having a hard time scoring jobs because of these mexicans crews. The crews usually consist of one legal Mexican(basically the slave driver) and that of several of his workers. Usually they tend to be illegals making peanuts for wages, no insurances and not paying taxes. This allows the legal Mexican to undercut those legitment companies who are paying decent wages, paying insurances and paying taxes. You know, contributing to society and playing by the system..

You're not seeing legals doing this work for that reason. You just can't compete because those "hardworking"(i have a different opinion) Mexicans who are working illegally and for next to nothing.

btw, if you ever have a house built and you notice the crews on all levels(foundation, carpenters, brickies, etc) are primarly mexican crews, back out of the deal. Hacks.

While I generally disagree with the ideals/politics of unions, you simply can't beat the quality of their work. I've seen the difference - my parents' house was built with all-union labor and they've only had one small problem (crack in the drywall that was easily repaired). I've seen homes built the way you describe, Tyr, and the results were nothing short of disastrous.

Exactly. You want to pay less and get a POS mexican brick job? Go right a head as far as I'm concerned, but when I build a house I'm getting a real-deal American crew who knows what they are doing.

The houses in my parent's neighborhood are all having major problems (warped door frames, uneven flooring, support structures falling apart, etc) due to cheap Mexican laborers. The contracter they have out there to analyze these problems has his hands full 24/7 trying to fix the illegal workers' f-ups.

I'm in the trades, work for myself. I seriously could probably make a better living if I just opened a business and advertised it as, "Tyr's repairs, For Mexican F'ups". I get calls all day. The most recent( i remeber the crew framing the house, all mexican) being a nearly 1 yr old house stairs starting to fall apart. The basement and the first to second floor set. I'm so surprised the lady didnt fall through them. The lady asked me if this was typical when I went and checked it out. I just said, "Not when I build them", and left it as that.

I've been considering just working for a major builder in the area because of my above example in how the trades are working now adays. I can simple make as much with less headach overseeing job sites nowadays because of this problem.

Dunno, not all unions are great. A lot of union workers are just lazy and inefficient. At my last job we had a union incident over installing some counter tops and cabinets. The union was going to take 4 weeks, 3 people, and bill the dept 20K to install them. Instead Jane Doe's hubby offered to do it in one weekend for 2K. His work was good, everything was installed fine. The union files a greviance, but the manager was like "so what? even if I pay the fine, I've still saved money"

Your key word is "Jane Doe" and not "Chela Doe".

Yea, I'm not union and I'm personally not impressed with unions although some do great work. We get the thugs coming around the jobsites looking to see if we are union every know and then. They try to give us a guilt trip and bully us in to joing but we usually just run them off the site. They're really not the force they once were. Unfortuannly with this problem of illegals doing the work the union may be the only way to start regulating and monitoring the problem and securing these jobs for americans.
