Downloading now.

My PCI-E mobo and 6200TC should arrive Friday. I'll give these a shot if they have good feedback.

Whats a GF 6500?And a 6250?
from the nv4_disp

NVIDIA_NV44.DEV_0160.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6500"
NVIDIA_NV44.DEV_0169.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6250"

6500 was made to counter x550. haven't heard about 6250 though, maybe just an improved 6200.

Cool. Its just to hold me over until I decide what next gen card I want. After that it will make a good backup card in case something happens to my new one.

how old are these dated? What's performance like? Profile fix? Less shimmering?

Profile fix isn't supposed to come until the 80.xx drivers (a few months away according to one of the other threads).

Are these only for 6 and 7 series cards? Will I need a modded .inf for my FX?

Far Cry still has the "pink HDR" bug with these drivers, not sure if the "shadow" bug is fixed either.

Still get weird, psychedelic light blooms from the bottom of the screen after going under a light in Far Cry (patched up to date, no HDR). Started hapening with 77.76. Last drivers that didn't do this were 77.30s I think.

Are they worth the dl?

The only benchmark i have installed atm is Far Cry and i get much the same score in the Timedemo as with the 77.50 and 77.77 drivers

Yes. I had to mod the .inf for use with my 5950.

The HDR glitches are fixed if you rename the farcry.exe to something like "fracy.exe". This fix has already been posted in another thread.

But if you read more carefully he said HDR is off. If you rename the .exe and it gets rid of the problem then more than likely something is wrong with the application profile.
