Hi,

in March 2005 I purchased the Nvidia DVD Decoder Bronce, version 1.00.67. Today I noticed that Nvidia has released version 1.02-150 on July 1st.

How can I update to the new version? Should I just download the new version, install it and during setup enter my information (Name, E-Mail Adress, Last Four Digits of Credit Card and Activation Key)?

Thanks for your help!

I must say the new Nvidia DVD Decoder has improved....
Question i found two 'hidden' menu(s)
one is DISCover and another one is Game ( or games can't remember)
Does anyone know how the Game menu works.. i mean which games work with it! :P

I wish I knew how the hell to get it even working.

after installing it, and then those two WMP patches; wmp10 is unable to find a dvd decoder, or some such, and refuses to even play DVD's, and the only place I've actually had it work, somewhat was with my TV tuner software, but for whatever reason, when clicking the nvidia icon in the tray and going to properties...nothing happens, and on-top of that my cpu usage for the tuner app INCREASES over using software.

so go figure. I assume it's probably just a buggy implementation into the tuner software, but I don't really know.

But it'd sure be nice to actually get it to work with a dvd so I can see how much benefit it makes.

Download and install Media Player Classic (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=82303&package_id=84358) (freeware).

Open it and on the View menu,

Options > Filters > Uncheck "MPEG-2 Video" > Apply

Next go to,

Overrides (underneath Filters) > Add Filter > NVIDIA (all of them) > Ok

Play your DVD (File > Open DVD) and the decoder should pop up in your system tray as soon as the movie starts.

Your old DVD Decoder info should work for the new Purevideo version(mine did). I recommend you uninstall the old version first tho. Just download the latest trial and use your reg info on that:)
