do u have to uninstall?

do u have to uninstall the previous ForceWare driver to install the updated one? i read this on the nvidia website. i usually don't uninstall, i haven't had any problems without uninstalling the previous driver.

You don't have to (many dont) but doing so will remove the posibility of driver conflicts and leaving buggy files.

nVidia recommends un-installing the previous driver, as do most other users.
Consider it as a safeguard against any incompatibility with the previous driver.

also, when you are done uninstalling it helps to reboot in safe mode and run DriverCleaner.
