I don't know what to tell you.

I have an XFX 6600GT AGP and it works o.k. with the 77.77 drivers.

i dont know what it is all the games work fine.
if i want to play dvd, or any video of that matter on 77.77 it crashes.
its very fustrating. the card idles at 63 degrees in game about 75 is this normal any 1.

I have the Leadtek Agp 6600GT with same issues.
Ive tried all newer drivers, beta, modified , but have too revert to 71.89 to watch *.avi's, Quicktime, or any type of video Media file. Tried different video players, and that doesnt help either.

I am also running a 2800+ Oc to 2.1
1.5GB of Kinsgton Ram
Chaintech VNF3-250 (754) bios VN120321
nForce4 AMD Edition (6.66)
winxp Pro sp2

Ive seen other folks with this problem,on other foruns, but no solotion, so i dont think we will ever get a fix since it doesnt affect everbody.

We might be SOL ;)

thx its good to know im not alone it must be something to do with the 2800 amds.
the really wierd thing is i did have the 77.76 drivers working fine but i had to reboot my comp. since then no other will work exept 71.89.
where would we go to ask nvidia about this something need to be done.

installing the Gart driver from nforce 1/2/3 drivers 5.10 fixed it for me too, like in the post above.

I installed 5.10 Gart on top of the 6.66

I can watch Xvid and and other video files now :D
