I use Speedfan. Works well because I can use set it to adjust my Zalman vf-700 fan speed according to how hot my videocard is by plugging the Zalman into the motherboard

I use speedfan, because like GamingLord said, MBM isn't maintained anymore.
Speedfan would hang at 100% sometimes though until I started using the /NONVIDIAI2C switch when running it. There's also a plugin for Samurize (www.samurize.com) that reads the speedfan info which is handy, and a few other apps like that too.

temp1 = mobo temp2 = cpu right? (i verified it in bios and its the same temps)

so what is local temp & remote temp in speedfan?

Motherboard Monitor was a great app and it was a sad day when the author had to pull support. Lucky for me the program still works with my "ancient" motherboard. I don't use the dashboard though, just the CPU temp monitoring and I leave it down in the system tray.

I've heard speedfan is good though and it's probably the one you should use if there is still updates/support out there for it.

I prefer Speedfan for regular mobos & nTune for nF4/SLI mobos .. thats what i use myself.
i just downloaded MBM but i've yet to test it.

Local temp = GPU ambient
Remote temp = GPU core

You can check which one is the GPU core by looking at Nvidia control panel temp is exactly 10 degrees more than one of the 2 temps, don´t know which one marks the real temp Nvidia control panel or speedfan
