View Full Version : How to get my gui going

I bought a new computer.

Athlon XP 2000+
ASUS A7N266 VM Motherboard
(it has built in GeForce graphics card 3d sound etc)
I dont know which rpm to download and what to do to get my gui working in Linux RedHat 7.2.

O tried reading what they have given.
I dint understand a bit.

Can some one help me

There was an issue with using the nForce boards and RedHat.... it was in this forum and it was a pretty big thread. I cant remember what it was about exactly but I do think it was something with the nForce and the nvidia drivers not being happy together....

Please visit http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=linux_display_ia32_1.0-4191 to download accelerated drivers for your NVIDIA video card. NVchooser.sh is available if you're unsure of which drivers to download. (usage: 'sh NVchooser.sh')

You'll probably be using on of the available binary NVIDIA_kernel RPMs. Please see the "Installing via RPM" section of the README for detailed install instructions.
