I don't really know if it is a problem or not, but when I turn on my computer and it is starts POST, it gets to my DVD drives and they spin up (or whatever) twice, and then the case speaker makes one short beep and then I get video on screen and it shows the Asus logo and all is well from there. I got tired of it so I unplugged the speaker from motherboard. Is this just me or someone else have this too?

Oh yeah and the latest BIOS I could get is the 1011. I tried the 6.56 and 6.66 chipset drivers before I flashed to a newer BIOS and got the BSOD every time I logged on to msn, so I went back to the ones from Asus CD.

Here's my specs for whatever reason:

Asus A8V Deluxe BIOS 1011
Athlon64 3500+ winchester
Corsair XMS 512mb DDR400x2
eVGA 7800GT @ 480/1.22
Allied 500w

First post too.

Oh.. well that's.. good I guess. Didn't read anything about it, and didn't see a way to turn it off, can it be? Kind of annoying and I don't really like having no speaker either.
