Hi guys,

A friend of mine is setting up a SLI system, but his PSU has only 1 PCI-E power cable.

Now we need to know if the MSI 7800GTX comes with any power cable adapter or he will need to change the PSU (OCZ PowerStream 520w).

This Powerstream 520w will handle the config? (FX55, 2x 7800GTX, 2 HDDs in RAID0, DVDRW)

Thanks!!
AleX

Yeah the OCZ PS 520 is rated 33A on 12v rail and many people run SLi rigs on em so it should be fine. As far as the PCI-E connector, the MSI should come with a PCI-E to Molex connector so you shouldn't worry about that.

Thanks toxik,

But I need to be sure about the PCI-E to molex connector: it's usual to the 7800GTXs to come with that?

Thanks a lot,

Just check the accessories included on-line. It shows one with the listed accessories. Check the site you are ordering from or MSI's site to be sure.

Also if you're ordering from newegg or whatever, you can buy a PCI-E cable there. It's only like $1.... it's nice to know you're getting for sure plus you have a backup. I know most tech stores around me don't sell PCI-E power splitters.
