Windows Media player help plz

For some reason, when I'm watching videos in fullscreen mode it spontaneously exits fullscreen and goes back to normal mode. Is there any way I can correct this, as it really gets annoying when watching movies!

Try checking for media player updates.

Besides that all I can recommend is to not use Windows Media player for watching movies. Personally I think Media Player Classic (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=82303&package_id=84358) (which is not developed by Microsoft) is better for watching movies.

I had this problem for awhile. Was a right pain in the arse. Ended up fixing itself. Not a healpful post I know.

Maybe updating the codec if it only happens to one format of vid. Maybe reinstall WMP or whatever drivers you are using. You could also play with the overlay settings in the driver control panel if you haven't already

EDIT: I just remembered something which might help goto

WMP>Tools>Options>Performance>Advanced
then check your options. Check enable full screen switch, if it already is checked uncheck it. If that doesn't work, try enabling or disabling use overlays.
