MSI NX7800GTX SLI Review

Well me being an idiot, i didnt buy an sli motherboard. I only bought one with a single PCI express lane. Oh well my max res on my monitor is 1280 * 1024 so I dont think i'll be missing out on anything.

yeah i'm playing Morrowind now @1600x1200,SLI16xAA,16xAF .. how would imagine that you could play a not so old game at such settings! :D

the second game showing some good advantage for the SLIAA is KOTOR2. since it dosent work with SLI AFR/SFR i lowered the res abit (1280x1024) & cranked the SLI8xAA! the performance percentage increase over normal 8xAA was ~20% . not bad at all!

Hey Mike .. the defualt SLI profile for FarCry wont benefit from SLI at all .. actually i was getting slightly better performance with single GPU mode .
HOWEVER .. a friend here at the forum (JimBob) have discovered a new SLI profile that works with HDR & increases performance significantly.
the value is "6c84801" . try it out. i'm sure the HDR benchmarks numbers will change dramatically once you use it ;)

Mike, could you clarify a bit on the x16 comments you made earlier in this thread? Reading the review of the ASUS A8N Premium SLI X16 board, it was called the first of its type to have full X16 SLI capabilities, but from how I read earlier, the MSI board used in this review has that also.

Is that the case, or were you talking about something else?
