The 512mb X800XL can be found as low as $300 No link is not good enough, I couldnt find the card retail $300, all I find the cheapest is $359 (http://froogle.google.com/froogle_url?q=http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp%3FProductCode%3D326806%26affilia te%3Dyahoo&fr=AMyAZM0q9Ak4jOPpQEcjZm97-hJXHdgdAL11N_-Q4_e9YbwGCdO5LX4AAAAAAAAAAA).

The key words here are "I expect". For course you would say that ATI's prices are going to be inflated due to your bias. Your the biggest nVidia fanboy on these forums. Every other post from you is about how ATI's products suck using the inquirers "facts" to back it up. Hell, it would surprise me if you wrote for the inquirer.

 I dont work for the Inquirer. :) Back to ATI's first announcement of Crossfire around 6 months ago, they will launch X850 XT PE Crossfire Edition for $599 and then a few months later, it will be replace by new high end X1800 XT Crossfire Edition at $599 level but none of it happen at the time because ATI had issues with Crossfire, R520 and R530. Now it look like ATI has already ironed out all Crossfire bugs already and ready to relaunch it soon. Many expected Crossfire motherboard to retail at very competitive $50 price but today came as a big shocking news that ATI will not sell it at $50 but over $200 (http://www.tomshardware.com/hardnews/20050908_131203.html) each (I am sure you will be very glad it not from THE INQUIRER :D), also X850 XL and XT Crossfire wont come cheap. It seem possible that R520 prices could be a lot higher than I expected.

It must have been on sale, but a few weeks ago Newegg had the 512mb X800XL (OEM) for $300. I just checked and they don't have the OEM version. The retail is $359. Even at $359, it shows that the memory alone will not raise the price $200, its just price gouging.

I'm not talking about crossfire cards. You expected the 512mb X1800XT to cost $799 which is really hard to believe.

What I said still applies. All of your graphics card related posts are anti-ATI. Of course you are going to say that ATI's prices will be inflated. Your bias makes your guesses completely off of the charts with no reason for people to believe you. Its no different than red_star's opinions, just on the other side of the fence.

If you wanna continue this then PM me.
