excuse me if this has be brought up but i just got my new

Asus Extreme N7800GTX Top and it say 24 pipes but as u can see theres only 16.

If you want to see how many pixel and vertex pipes your card has download trivatuner (http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=163)
open it and in main next to the first customise you should see

256bit nv47 (A1,24x1,8vp) with 256mb DDR3

24 pixel pipes and 8 vertex pipes

It was worse than that. The Dimension 3000 doesn't even have an AGP slot as far as I know.

OK OK, we were all noobs once, don't jump all over the guy for a simple misunderstanding. :)

hoop you should check out some of the stickied threads in the various sections of this forum, you'll find a ton of interesting stuff and learn a lot about video cards and how they are designed. I know I've learned a lot since I started posting here.

And you gotta tell me where you got that background, it's freaking awesome. :D

yes sir i no, i just got this card and notice this 24 pipe thingy ans saw something differnet and spending 570$ for it i just fliped out intill ya'll inlighten me.

ps i got those wallpapers for a place called "stardockcentral"
