Hi guys, Im currently putting together a new system but I need some thoughts on this mobo. I was going to go for the Fatality one, however this one actually has COM ports (which I need for some legacy hardware I use) and it doesnt have a super duper on-board audio system (which is useless to me). So does anyone have anything to say or possibly recommend a new one?

you dont necessarily have to get a mobo with COM ports. they make COM to USB converters. we sell them at my campus computer store. im sure you can find them online easily ;)

btw, id go with the A8N-SLI Premium or DFI SLI-dr board.

your best bet might be to get a com to usb converter. as for the motherboard, i cant say enough good things about the abit a8n sli. i adore this thing. the audio connects in a pci e slot and the heat pipe for the chip set is beautiful.
