Ok guys :p

My 3500+ OC's like a nasty pig but i got this probem. When i try to go over 220 on the FSB it auto sets the CPU down to 2000mhz :thumbdwn:.
I can run at 220 (2.42 ghz) just fine with a temp at 40c idle in windows. What could be the problem? My Hypertransport is running at 4x (tried 3x also). I manually adjustet the ram to 333mhz (also tryed 266mhz). No matter what i cant get by that damn 220 mark. At 221 is downclocks the CPU

Give me some backup :p

i had the same problem. force the CPU multiplier at what you want it to be and it should post at the right speed. the CPU multiplier is in the jumperfree section i believe

What should i set the multiplier at ? What is the default for a 3500+?

Default multiplier on a 3500+ is 11.
(200x11=2.2GHz)

But yea, thats your problem, you need to lock the multiplier, or the PC will automatically set it to whatever is closest to 2.2GHz.

Is that with a 10.5 multi? Did you need to up your cpu voltage for stability?

No 11 Multi. 228x11. Downed the ram to 333 (400 default). 4X on the hypertransport.

And no need to up voltage just yet. I will go for 2.6 Ghz tomorrow, time to get some sleep :P
